Local Junior Football News | BTFC Armed forces historyContents being updated: Buckie Thistle War Players Ceremony The information below is dedicated to the men who joined up to defend their country in its time of need during WW1 and WW2. All of the men played for their home club of Buckie thistle football club, some paying with the ultimate sacrifice for their country. To remember these men a ceremony was held and 2 plaques were unveiled which take pride of place in the BTFC Hospitality suite also there is a plan for a further plaque to be situated in the centre rear wall of the south enclosure inside the ground. To date as it states in the programme these are all the players that we know of no doubt there may be more that we find in the future that will require all the plaques to be updated. The research and orginisation for this ceremony was conducted by Easton Thain, BTFC Programe Editor.
